Every now and then we must take a step back from the hustle and bustle of the world and attend to the needs of our soul. If we need convincing of this, we need only look to the example of Our Lord Himself in the Gospels. He did not need to make a retreat (for He is God), but went frequently "into the desert alone" and "up to a mountain to pray" more times than we realize. Perhaps God is calling to you. Are you listening? Come away for awhile and spend some time with Our Lord. Many saints changed their lives after making a retreat and started on that path to sanctity.
